2024 Albariño

Edgar’s creation of Albariño was inspired by Spain’s Rías Baixas, a region known for its crisp, aromatic whites that pair effortlessly with food. Albariño’s brightness and versatility make it one of the most approachable and popular white wines today. Edgar wanted to capture that same freshness and food-friendly character, showcasing Paso Robles' unique terroir. His goal was to craft a wine that embodies the joy of the Mediterranean lifestyle—perfect for any occasion, whether casual or refined.

The El Pomar district in Paso Robles is known for its warm days and cool nights, which create the perfect balance of ripeness and acidity for Albariño. During the 2024 growing season, the region experienced ideal conditions, with a relatively mild spring and a warm, dry summer that encouraged even ripening and preserved the grape's natural acidity. The soils in the El Pomar district are diverse, with a mix of sandy loam and calcareous clay, contributing to the wine’s mineral complexity. These factors, combined with cooler evenings, allowed for the development of vibrant citrus and stone fruit flavors while maintaining the bright, crisp acidity that defines Albariño from this region.

The 2024 Albariño from Paso Robles' El Pomar district offers a bright, pale lemon color with green hues and brilliant clarity. The nose is fresh and vibrant, with aromas of lemon zest, lime, and ripe stone fruits like white peach and apricot, complemented by hints of green apple and subtle minerality. On the palate, it delivers a crisp, refreshing profile with lively acidity and flavors of lemon, green melon, and pear, balanced by a delicate salinity and the unique minerality of the region. A smooth, textured mouthfeel from lees aging adds depth, leading to a clean, refreshing finish with lingering citrus and mineral notes.
